Formerly, "yu-rei-ga", or ghost paintings had been a method of exorcism. In present times, one look at a Matsui Fuyuko painting contaminates the viewer with "pain","fear"and "violence", stimulating and awakening the mind. Is this exorcism, or the transmigration of the soul? One cannot help but question the motive behind such a painting.
